DeJuan was known for scoring lots of points and for being a great leader on the court, helping his team play well. He played as a Point guard or shooting guard.

College Basketball Journey
DeJuan Collins, often called "DC" by his fans and friends, started his basketball career in college. He played for Louisiana State University (LSU), which is a top-level team in NCAA Division I. Later, he played for the Tuskegee Institute, which is part of NCAA Division II. These are different levels of college sports in the United States.
Professional Basketball Career
DeJuan Collins began his professional basketball career in Germany. His first team was WiredMinds Tübingen, which was in the second division of the German League.
Early Success in Germany
In the 2000–01 season, DeJuan was the top scorer for his team, averaging 26 points per game. His amazing play helped Tübingen get promoted to the first division. This means they moved up to play against stronger teams. A big surprise that season was when his team beat Alba Berlin in the first round of the German Cup.
Even though he was playing against tougher teams in the first division, DeJuan continued to play very well. In his first year in the top German League, he was the leading scorer, averaging 23.6 points per game. Because of his great performance, he was invited to play in the All-Star game.
Winning Championships
After his time with Tübingen, DeJuan joined Alba Berlin in 2002. With Alba Berlin, he helped his team win two big titles in the 2002–03 season: the German Championship and the German Cup.
Later, DeJuan played for several other teams across Europe. In the 2004–05 season, he played for Aris Salonica in Greece. The next season, 2005–06, he played for Varese Whirlpool in Italy.
Playing in Lithuania and Russia
In the middle of the 2006–07 season, DeJuan joined Žalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania. He had a very successful time there, winning the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) championship in both 2007 and 2008. He also helped Žalgiris win the Lithuanian LKF Cup and the Baltic BBL championship multiple times. In 2008, he was even named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Baltic BBL Finals.
After his time in Lithuania, DeJuan played for Lokomotiv Rostov in Russia for a short period in 2008. His last professional club was also in Russia, playing for Krasnye Krylia. With Krasnye Krylia, DeJuan Collins won the FIBA EuroChallenge in 2013, which is a major European basketball competition. He retired from professional basketball in 2013.
