DeObia Oparei (born on December 7, 1971) is a British actor. He is famous for playing many different characters. Some of his well-known roles include the Gunner in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. He also played Rongo in the movie Dumbo. On TV, he was Loki Hayes in Santa Clarita Diet. Fans also know him as Boastful Loki in the Loki TV series.

DeObia Oparei was born in Hackney, London, England. His parents came from Nigeria. He was born on December 7, 1971.
Acting Career Highlights
Oparei started his acting journey in British theater. He worked with famous groups like The Royal Shakespeare Company. He also performed with The National Youth Theatre. His first movie role was a small part in Alien 3.
Later, he played the main character in a play called Six Degrees of Separation. After this, he got another movie role. He played "Le Chocolat" in the film Moulin Rouge!. In 1993, he appeared in a British TV show called Minder.
Oparei is also a playwright, which means he writes plays. One of his plays was called "Crazyblackmuthafuckin'self". A famous critic, Michael Billington, said the play was "wild, raunchy and funny." This play was later shown in Sydney, Australia, in 2003.
In 2015, Oparei joined the cast of the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones. He played the character Areo Hotah in the fifth season.
