The Dean Brook is a small river located near Bolton in Greater Manchester, England. It's an important part of the local water system.

Where Dean Brook Starts and Flows

The Dean Brook begins its journey on a place called Smithills Moor. From there, it flows mostly towards the east.

As it travels, it picks up water from another small stream called Dakin's Brook. This happens near a village known as Barrow Bridge.

The brook then continues its path through an area called Smithills. It's a pretty journey through the countryside.

Joining Other Rivers

After flowing through Smithills, the Dean Brook meets up with another stream. This stream is called the Raveden Brook. When Dean Brook and Raveden Brook join together, they form a new, larger stream. This new stream is known as Astley Brook.

But the journey doesn't end there! The Astley Brook then flows into the Eagley Brook. Finally, when the Astley Brook and Eagley Brook combine, they create the River Tonge. So, the Dean Brook is like the start of a chain of waterways that eventually form a bigger river.
