Debbie Rush (born on March 29, 1966) is an English actress. She is best known for playing the character of Anna Windass in the popular TV show Coronation Street. She was on the show from 2008 to 2018.

Starting Her Career

Debbie Rush started acting when she was in her thirties. She trained at the Manchester School of Acting. Before joining Coronation Street, she appeared in other TV shows like Shameless, Brookside, and Hollyoaks in the City. She also played a character named Pam in a horror movie called Salvage.

Time on Coronation Street

In 2008, Debbie Rush got a big role in the TV soap opera Coronation Street. She was chosen to play Anna Windass. She was very excited about getting the part. She said it felt "surreal" because she had watched the show growing up, and now she was part of it!

In 2015, Debbie was nominated for "Best Actress" at The British Soap Awards. This showed how much people enjoyed her acting. She decided to leave the show in 2017, and her character, Anna, left in early 2018. She came back for a couple more episodes later that year.
