Debbie Rush is an English actress. She is best known for playing the character Anna Windass in the TV show Coronation Street. She was on the show from 2008 to 2018.

Debbie Rush's Acting Journey
Starting Out as an Actress
Debbie Rush started her acting training when she was in her thirties. She studied at the Manchester School of Acting. After her training, she appeared in several TV shows. These included Shameless, Brookside, and Hollyoaks in the City. She also acted in a horror film called Salvage.
Her Time on Coronation Street
In 2008, Debbie Rush got a big role in the TV show Coronation Street. She was chosen to play Anna Windass. Debbie was very excited to join the show. She said she had watched Coronation Street all her life. It felt "surreal" to become part of the cast. In 2015, she was nominated for "Best Actress" at The British Soap Awards.
Debbie Rush decided to leave Coronation Street in 2017. Her character, Anna, left the show in January 2018. She made a couple more appearances in May and June 2018.
Other Acting Roles
After leaving Coronation Street, Debbie Rush continued acting. She appeared in the Sky One show Brassic in 2019 and 2021. She also acted in an episode of the BBC One show Inside Number 9 in 2020.
