William Rush (born on July 6, 1994) is a British actor. He is most famous for playing the character Josh Stevenson in the popular BBC One TV show Waterloo Road.
About William Rush
William grew up in Bury, Greater Manchester, England. He went to Bamford Academy for his schooling. To learn how to act, he trained at the Manchester School of Acting. William comes from an acting family. His mother, Debbie Rush, is also an actress, known for her role in Coronation Street. He has an older sister, Poppy Rush, who is also an actress, and a brother named Tom.
His Acting Journey
William started his acting career when he was young. One of his first roles was in the Channel 4 show Shameless. After that, he had a small part in the BBC show Grange Hill, where he played a character named Ali Duncan. He also appeared in other TV shows like The Street and Drop Dead Gorgeous.
His biggest role came in 2009 when he joined Waterloo Road. He played Josh Stevenson, a student at the school, for several years until 2012. He even made a special guest appearance in the show the following year.
In 2016, William tried something different. He auditioned for The X Factor, a singing competition. He did well and made it through to a stage called the "six-chair challenge." This was a big step in the competition!
William has also appeared in other well-known TV shows. He had a role in Casualty in 2013. In 2014, he appeared in an episode of Coronation Street and also in the detective series Vera. Later, in 2017, he was part of a TV mini-series called Friday On My Mind, where he played the musician George Young.
