Debelah's Music Journey
Early Career and First Albums
Debelah Morgan started her music career in 1994. She signed with a record company called Atlantic Records. Her first album was simply called Debelah. It included songs like "Take It Easy" and "Free". Both of these songs became popular on the R&B music charts.
A few years later, Debelah moved to another record company. This was VAZ/Motown Records. She then released a song called "Yesterday." This song was a big hit on the R&B charts. It also appeared on the main Pop music charts. Her second album, It's Not Over, came out in other countries. However, it was not released in the United States.
Big Hit Song "Dance with Me"
In 2000, Debelah Morgan signed with Atlantic Records again. This is when she released her most famous song, "Dance with Me." This song was a huge success. It reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also became one of the top five dance songs.
Her third album, also called Dance with Me, came out in 2000. This album reached number 35 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. Two more songs from this album were released: "I Remember" and "Close to You." Debelah also sang a song called "Why Did You Have to Be" for the Osmosis Jones movie soundtrack. She also covered the song "Do You Remember?" for a tribute album to Phil Collins.
Later Music and Collaborations
In 2005, Debelah signed with an independent music label. She released her fourth album, Light at the End of the Tunnel. This album featured gospel music. The first song from it was "Just as I Am." This album is not available to buy or stream digitally today.
In 2010, Debelah released a live album. It was called Let the Worship in Champions Live 2. This album was recorded with her church in Las Vegas. She is the worship leader there. The next year, she was planned to film a TV show. It was a reality series with other R&B singers.
In 2012 and 2013, Debelah performed with the R&B group Rose Royce. She was their main singer for several shows. In 2015, she worked with Shanice and All-4-One. They collaborated on a song called "Go to Bed." This song was on All-4-One's album Twenty.
