Defne Samyeli was born in Istanbul, Turkey, on July 1, 1972. Her father was an admiral, and her mother managed a hotel. In 1991, she placed third in a beauty pageant in Turkey.
Early Life and Career
Defne studied at Boğaziçi University. She started her career as a journalist. She became a news reporter for Kanal D's main news program. She even won two international awards for her unique way of presenting the news.
Defne also wrote for newspapers like Milliyet and Güneş. She was also the editor and presenter of the main news program for Show TV. Later, she hosted her own show called Defne Her şey Bambaşka on ATV. She continued to write for Milliyet for many years.
