The Town of Delafield is a community in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2020, about 8,095 people lived here. The City of Delafield is right next to the town. You can also find the small community of Buena Vista within the town.

History of Delafield Town
The Town of Delafield was not always called Delafield. Its first name was "Nemahbin." The name was changed in 1844 by the 4th Wisconsin Territorial Assembly. This was a meeting where leaders made decisions for the Wisconsin territory.

The Town of Delafield covers about 20.8 square miles (53.7 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 18.6 square miles (48.3 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 2.1 square miles (5.5 square kilometers), is water. This means that over 10% of the town's area is covered by lakes or rivers.
