A Big Moment in the NBA

While playing for the Utah Jazz, Rudd was often a backup player. He played behind a famous player named John Stockton. But Delaney Rudd had a chance to show his skills in 1992. This was during the Western Conference Finals against the Portland Trail Blazers.

In Game 5 of that series, the score was tied. Stockton, the main point guard, got an eye injury and could not play. Rudd stepped in to take his place. His team was losing 107-104 late in the game. Delaney Rudd then made a 23-foot three-pointer. This shot tied the game and sent it into overtime. It was a very exciting moment for him and his team.
