Delfín Quishpe Apugllón (born December 4, 1977) is a famous singer-songwriter and politician from Ecuador. He is known by his artistic name, Delfin Hasta el Fin, which means "Dolphin until the end." He became popular for his unique music style, which he calls "Andean techno-folklore." Many people found his music fun and amusing.

Delfín Quishpe also served as the mayor of his hometown, Guamote. He held this important role from May 2019 to February 2023.

Delfín Quishpe was born in a small town called San Antonio, located in Guamote, Ecuador. His parents were Anselmo Quishpe and Mercedes Apugllón. Delfín is part of the Quechua people, an indigenous group from the Andes mountains.

Early Music Albums

In 2003, he released his second album, titled "El Gallito." This album included several songs that became well-known. Some of these songs were "El Gallito Bandido," "El Delfincito," "Cuando Me Vaya," and "Cuaya Huay." A year later, he created his first music video for one of these songs. This video was shared online and helped him gain more attention.

The Song "Torres Gemelas"

In 2006, Delfín Quishpe released a song called "Torres Gemelas" (which means "Twin Towers"). This song tells a sad story about losing someone special during the 9/11 events. However, the song's playful style and the acting in its music video made it very popular online. It became an internet meme, which means it was widely shared and joked about on the internet.

Collaborations and Online Fame

In April 2010, Delfín Quishpe released another song called "En tus Tierras Bailaré" (meaning "In Your Lands I Will Dance"). For this song, he teamed up with two other internet stars from Peru, Wendy Sulca and Tigresa del Oriente. The song quickly became famous across Latin America. It received over a million views online in just a few weeks. A famous singer from the band Calle 13 even called it a "YouTube We are the World," comparing it to a famous song that brought many artists together.

Delfín Quishpe's Family Life

Delfín Quishpe is married to Rosario Urquiza Coro. They have two children together. Their sons are named Luis Rolando, who was born in 2002 and passed away in 2018, and Alex Delfín, who was born in 2004.
