Delmar, Missouri facts for kids
Delmar is a small, unincorporated community located in the northeastern part of Laclede County, Missouri, in the U.S. state of Missouri. An unincorporated community means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
This community is found on a county road, just east of Missouri Route JJ. It's about 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) northeast of a place called Sleeper and roughly three miles (4.8 kilometers) southwest of Stoutland.
It is believed that Delmar got its name from a well-known street in St. Louis, Delmar Boulevard. Many places in Missouri were named after other famous locations or people.
