Denise Georgette Gordy is an American former film and television actress and singer. She is known for her acting roles and for being part of the famous Gordy family. Denise is the niece of Berry Gordy, who started the Motown record label. She is also the mother of actress Bianca Lawson.

Her family has strong ties to the music world. Her uncle, Berry Gordy, founded the legendary Motown Records. This record label helped launch the careers of many famous musicians. Her aunt, Anna Gordy Gaye, was also part of this well-known family.
