Dennehotso (which is pronounced like "Day-nee-ho-tso" and means "many springs" in Navajo) is a small community in Apache County, Arizona, in the United States. It's known as a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's a special area defined by the government for counting people, but it's not officially a city or town.
In 2010, about 746 people lived in Dennehotso. By 2020, the population was 587 people.

The Red Mesa Unified School District was created in July 1983. Before that, Dennehotso was part of the Chinle School District.
Dennehotso Boarding School
The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) also runs the Dennehotso Boarding School. This school serves students from kindergarten through eighth grade.
The school has new buildings. A school facility for 186 students is about 46,545 square feet. There is also a dormitory (a place for students to live) for 33 students, which is about 10,072 square feet. The groundbreaking for these new buildings happened in February 2013.
The school helps students get to school by providing transportation. This is for students living between Baby Rocks and Mexican Water. If families live far from the highway or outside this area, students can stay in the dormitory.
