Dennis Praet (born on 14 May 1994) is a Belgian professional footballer. He plays as a midfielder for the Belgian Pro League club Antwerp. He also plays for the Belgium national team.

Early Life and Football Start
Dennis Praet was born in Leuven, a city in Belgium. He started playing football at a very young age.
Youth Career at Genk
Praet joined the Genk youth academy in 2003 when he was just eight years old. He spent most of his early football years there. He was known as a very talented young player. Many big clubs like Arsenal and Barcelona were interested in him.
Playing for Anderlecht
In May 2010, Praet moved from Genk to Anderlecht. He joined their under-19 team and continued to impress everyone. In 2011, he won an award for being the best player at a youth tournament called the AEGON Future Cup.
Praet played his first game for Anderlecht's main team on 21 September 2011. He helped his team win 4–0 in a Belgian Cup match. Soon after, he scored his first goal for Anderlecht in another cup game. On 30 October, he played his first game in the Belgian Pro League. In March 2012, he signed a new contract with the club.
During the 2012–13 season, Praet became a regular player for Anderlecht. The team won their second league title in a row that season. In 2014, he helped Anderlecht win their 33rd league title, which was their third in a row. He scored an important goal in the play-off game that sealed the win.
Praet played his 100th game for Anderlecht on 31 August 2014. He also scored a goal in a UEFA Champions League group stage match against Galatasaray. Towards the end of 2014, he was in great form, scoring in four games in a row.
His excellent performance led him to win the Belgian Golden Shoe award in January 2015. This award is given to the best player in the Jupiler Pro League each year.
Moving to Sampdoria
On 24 August 2016, Praet moved to Sampdoria, an Italian club. Sampdoria paid €10 million for him. He played for Sampdoria for three years. He was a key player for them, playing in 98 Serie A games and scoring four goals. The team always finished in the top half of the league table during his time there.
Time at Leicester City
On 8 August 2019, Praet joined Premier League club Leicester City. He signed a five-year contract. He made his debut on 18 August 2019 in a game against Chelsea. On 11 January 2020, he scored his first goal for Leicester City.
Loan to Torino
For the 2021–22 season, Praet played for Torino on a loan deal.
Back at Leicester
Praet returned to Leicester for the 2022–23 season. He scored one goal that season in a win against Aston Villa. However, Leicester City was relegated from the Premier League that year.
In the 2023–24 season, Praet helped Leicester City win the EFL Championship. This meant the club was promoted back to the Premier League. On 7 June 2024, it was announced that he would leave Leicester City.
Joining Antwerp
On 6 September 2024, Praet signed a contract with Antwerp for two seasons, with a chance to extend for a third.
Playing for Belgium
Praet has played for Belgium at many different age levels, starting from the under-15 team.
On 6 November 2014, Praet was called up to the senior Belgian squad for the first time. He made his debut on 12 November 2014 in a friendly match against Iceland. He came on as a substitute in the 76th minute.
He earned his second cap for Belgium almost four years later, in October 2018. In May 2021, he was chosen to be part of the Belgian squad for the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament.
