Dennis Praet (born on May 14, 1994) is a Belgian professional footballer. He plays as a midfielder for the Belgian club Antwerp. Dennis also plays for the Belgium national team.

Early Days in Football
Dennis Praet was born in Leuven, Belgium. He started playing football at a young age.
Youth Years at Genk
In 2003, when he was eight years old, Dennis joined the Genk youth academy. He spent most of his youth career there. Dennis quickly showed he was a very talented player. Scouts from big clubs like Arsenal and Barcelona noticed him.
Playing for Clubs
Anderlecht
In May 2010, Dennis moved from Genk to Anderlecht. He chose Anderlecht even though other clubs offered him more money. He started with the under-19 team and continued to impress everyone. In 2011, he won an award for being the best player at a youth tournament called the AEGON Future Cup.
Dennis played his first game for Anderlecht's main team on September 21, 2011. He helped his team win 4–0 in a Belgian Cup match. Later, he scored his first goal for Anderlecht in another cup game. In October, he played his first game in the Belgian Pro League. In March 2012, he signed a new contract with the club.
During the 2012–13 season, Dennis played often for Anderlecht. The club won their second league title in a row that season. In 2014, he signed another contract to stay until 2017. He scored an important goal on May 25, 2014, which helped Anderlecht win their 33rd league title. This was their third title in a row!
Dennis played his 100th game for Anderlecht on August 31, 2014. He also scored a goal in a UEFA Champions League group stage game against Galatasaray. He had a great run of form at the end of 2014. He scored in four games in a row.
Because of his excellent play, Dennis won the 2014 Belgian Golden Shoe award. This award is given to the best player in the Jupiler Pro League each year.
Sampdoria
On August 24, 2016, Dennis moved to Sampdoria, a club in Italy. Sampdoria paid about €10 million for him. He played in 98 Serie A games and scored four goals during his three years there. Sampdoria always finished in the top half of the league table while he was there.
Leicester City
On August 8, 2019, Dennis joined Premier League club Leicester City. He signed a five-year contract. The transfer fee was reported to be €20 million. He played his first league game for Leicester on August 18, 2019. On January 11, 2020, he scored his first goal for Leicester City.
Torino (loan)
On August 31, 2021, Dennis went to Torino in Italy for a season-long loan. This meant he played for Torino for one year before returning to Leicester.
Return to Leicester
Dennis came back to Leicester for the 2022–23 season. He scored one goal in a win against Aston Villa. However, Leicester City was relegated from the Premier League that season.
In the 2023–24 season, Dennis helped Leicester City win the EFL Championship. This meant they were promoted back to the Premier League. On June 7, 2024, it was announced that he would leave the club.
Antwerp
On September 6, 2024, Dennis Praet signed a contract with Antwerp for two seasons. He is now playing for this Belgian club.
Playing for His Country
Dennis has played for Belgium at many different age levels. He started with the under-15 team and later played for the under-21 team.
On November 6, 2014, Dennis was called up to the senior Belgian squad for the first time. He made his first international appearance on November 12, 2014. He came on as a substitute in a friendly match against Iceland.
Dennis played his second game for Belgium almost four years later, in October 2018. In May 2021, he was chosen to be part of the Belgian squad for the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament.
