Early Life and Education
Dentaa was born in Juaso, a town in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. When she was five years old, her family moved to the UK. From a young age, she loved performing in school plays and talent shows.
Schooling and University
She completed her GCSEs at Walthamstow School for Girls. Then, she studied Media Studies, Sociology, and Performing Arts at Leyton Sixth Form College. After that, she went to Buckinghamshire New University to study paediatric nursing, which is nursing for children.
Music and Television Work
Between the late 1990s and early 2000s, Dentaa appeared in several British TV dramas. These included EastEnders, Holby City, Judge John Deed, Run Baby Run, and Prime Suspect.
In 2005, she released a gospel music album titled Wu Ye Nyame. This album was played on radio stations in Ghana. Dentaa also went on a global tour to support her music.
The Dentaa Show
In 2006, Dentaa created and hosted a new TV show called The Dentaa Show. It was shown on OBE (Original Black Entertainment) TV, a channel for ethnic minorities in Britain. The show was 30 minutes long and featured interviews with celebrities. It also covered entertainment events and the latest music videos from Ghana and Africa.

GUBA Awards

Connection with Football
Dentaa has a strong link to the world of football. She manages Asamoah Gyan, a striker for Ghana and former player for Sunderland. She also played an important part in helping Ghana's national football team, known as the Black Stars, get Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong to play for them.
In 2012, she helped launch the Benjani Mwaruwari Foundation. This foundation was started by Portsmouth and Zimbabwe national football team striker Benjani Mwaruwari. Its goal is to build a football academy for young people who need help in Zimbabwe.
The next month, Dentaa helped the Arthur Wharton Foundation. They presented a statue of Arthur Wharton, who was the first professional black football player, to FIFA President Sepp Blatter. This statue is now displayed at FIFA headquarters in Zurich.
