Cherie, Lady Blair (born 23 September 1954), also known as Cherie Booth, is an English lawyer and writer. She is famous for being the wife of Tony Blair, who was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2007. Cherie Blair has had a successful career as a barrister, which is a type of lawyer who argues cases in court.

Cherie Blair's Early Life and Education
Cherie Booth was born on 23 September 1954 in Bury, Lancashire, England. She grew up near Liverpool. Her father, Tony Booth, was an actor. Her mother, Gale Howard, was also an actress. When Cherie was eight years old, her father left. She and her younger sister, Lyndsey, were raised by their mother and grandmother.
Cherie went to Catholic schools in Crosby. She was a very good student. She earned top grades in her A-Levels, which are important exams in the UK.

Leo was the first baby born to the wife of a serving British prime minister in over 150 years! All of their children went to Catholic secondary schools. The Blair children also have Irish passports because Tony Blair's mother was from Ireland. Cherie has six half-sisters from her father's side, including the journalist Lauren Booth.
In 2016, Cherie Blair became a grandmother for the first time.
