Dequan Finn (born April 21, 2001) is a talented American football quarterback. He currently plays for the Miami RedHawks. Before joining Miami, he played for the Toledo Rockets and the Baylor Bears.

High School Football Star
Dequan Finn went to Martin Luther King High School in Detroit, Michigan. During his senior year, he was an amazing player. He threw for 25 touchdowns and gained 2,104 yards. He also ran for 21 touchdowns and 1,264 yards.
Finn led his team to win a state championship. He was even named the 2018 Mr. Football Michigan. This award goes to the best high school football player in Michigan. Finn first planned to play for Central Michigan. But he changed his mind and chose Toledo instead. This happened after Central Michigan's coach, John Banamego, left the team.
College Football Journey
Playing for Toledo
Finn started his college career at Toledo. He didn't play much in his first two years. In 2021, he started to play more often. He threw 18 touchdowns and only two interceptions. He also ran for nine touchdowns that year.
In 2022, Finn was named to the preseason Maxwell Award watch list. This list includes top college football players. On October 15, 2022, he had an incredible game. He threw six touchdowns against Kent State. This tied a school record. He also ran for one touchdown, setting a new school record with seven total touchdowns in one game.
Finn led the Toledo Rockets to win their first MAC West championship since 2017. He was named the offensive MVP in the 2022 MAC Championship Game. He also won the offensive MVP award in the 2022 Boca Raton Bowl. In 2023, Finn was named the MAC Most Valuable Player. He led Toledo to a great 11–2 record. He passed for 2,657 yards and 22 touchdowns. After the 2023 season, he decided to look for a new team.
Time with Baylor
On December 17, 2023, Finn announced he was moving to Baylor University. He joined the Baylor Bears football team. He became the starting quarterback for the 2024 season opener. In his first game for Baylor, he threw for 192 yards. He also scored three touchdowns, helping Baylor win 45–3.
Finn played in only three games during the 2024 season. He then applied for a special waiver. This waiver would allow him to play an extra year in college. On December 13, 2024, Finn decided to look for a new team again.
Joining Miami (OH)
On January 5, 2025, Finn shared his decision. He chose to transfer to Miami University. He is now playing for the Miami RedHawks.

Personal Life
On August 18, 2022, Dequan Finn signed a deal with the Detroit Sports Commission. This was an NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deal. He became an ambassador for the 17th Xenith Prep Kickoff Classic.
