Where is Derma Located?
Derma is in the south-central part of Calhoun County. It's near a town called Calhoun City to its west. A main road, Mississippi Highway 8, goes right through Derma. This highway connects Derma to Calhoun City and also to Vardaman, which is about 6 miles (10 km) to the east.
The town covers an area of about 1.77 square miles (4.59 square kilometers), and all of it is land. The Yalobusha River flows about a mile south of Derma. This river is a branch of the Yazoo River.
