Yazoo River facts for kids
The Yazoo River is an important river in the Mississippi state of the United States. It flows through a region known as the Mississippi Delta. This area was once famous for its large cotton farms. Even today, farming is a big part of the land use here.
The Yazoo River is about 188 miles (303 kilometers) long. It starts where two other rivers meet: the Tallahatchie River and the Yalobusha River. This meeting point is called a confluence.
