Deveron Alfredo Harper (born November 15, 1977) is a former American football player. He played as a defensive back, which means he helped stop the other team from scoring. Deveron played for four seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He was a player for the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints. Before joining the NFL, he played college football at the University of Notre Dame. He also played for other teams like the Scottish Claymores and the Austin Wranglers.
Playing Professional Football
Deveron Harper started his NFL career with the Carolina Panthers. He played in 24 games for them between 2000 and 2001. Later, he joined the New Orleans Saints and played in 19 games during 2004. He also had a short time with the Miami Dolphins in 2005.
After his time in the NFL, Deveron played in the Arena Football League (AFL). He signed with the Austin Wranglers in 2005. In 2007, he played for the Kansas City Brigade.
What He Does Now
Today, Deveron Harper is a Defensive Back coach. He helps train players at Campbell University.

Deveron Harper got married to Davette Stephens in 2005. They have three children together. The family lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
