Dewey is a small town located in Burnett County, in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. In 2010, the town had a population of 516 people. A small community called Bashaw is also found within the town of Dewey.
Geography of Dewey
Dewey is located in the southeastern part of Burnett County. It shares a border with Washburn County to its east. The town covers a total area of about 95.4 square kilometers (36.8 square miles). Most of this area, 94.0 square kilometers (36.3 square miles), is land. The remaining 1.4 square kilometers (0.5 square miles) is water, making up about 1.43% of the total area.
People of Dewey
In the year 2000, there were 565 people living in Dewey. These people lived in 209 households, with 164 of them being families. The town had about 15.6 people per square mile. Most of the people living in Dewey were White, with a smaller number of Native Americans also residing there.
