Growing Up with Martial Arts
Diana Inosanto grew up in a world filled with martial arts. She learned many different styles, like Jeet Kune Do and Eskrima. Her father, Dan Inosanto, taught her these skills. He was a student of the famous Bruce Lee, who was also Diana's godfather!
Diana has been featured on the covers of many martial arts magazines. These include Black Belt Magazine, Martial Arts, and Inside Kung Fu. In 2009, Black Belt Magazine honored her as their Woman of the Year.
Acting and Directing in Film and TV
Besides performing stunts and creating fight scenes for movies and TV shows, Diana Inosanto is also an actress. She directed her first movie, The Sensei, which came out in 2008.
In 2020, Diana appeared in the second season of Disney's The Mandalorian. She played a character named Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth. She played this role again in the TV series Ahsoka in 2023. She also voiced the character in Star Wars: Tales of the Empire in 2024.
Working in Theatre
Diana Inosanto is also involved in theatre in Southern California. She is a part of the Asian American theatre group called Lodestone Theatre Ensemble. In 2008, she helped with a play called Be Like Water. She was the martial arts choreographer for the show.
