About Diarra Sylla
Diarra Sylla was born in Paris, France. She later moved to Dakar, Senegal, where she grew up. Diarra lived mostly with her cousin when she was young because her mother traveled often. When she was six years old, Diarra performed on stage. After that, she knew she wanted to be a singer.
Diarra speaks three languages very well: French, Wolof, and English. She also knows some Turkish.

Starting Her Career
Diarra's mother did not want her to pursue music for four years. But in 2016, her mother finally let her join a singing contest. This contest was called Sen P'tit Gallé. It is one of the biggest singing competitions in Africa. Diarra won first place and became famous right away.
Joining Now United
Diarra learned about the group Now United from her sister. Her sister encouraged her to try out for the group. Diarra's audition was successful. On November 12, 2017, she was announced as a member of Now United. She was the only member from Africa.
In March 2020, Diarra shared that she was getting ready to start her solo music career. On September 5, 2020, she confirmed in an interview that she had left Now United.
