The Dillingen district is a rural area located in the southwest part of Bavaria, a large state in Germany. It's part of a bigger region called Swabia. A "district" in Germany is like a county or a region that groups together several towns and villages.

The main city and capital of the Dillingen district is Dillingen. This district shares its borders with several other districts. To the east, it's next to Donau-Ries. To the south, you'll find Augsburg (district) and Günzburg (district). On its western side, it borders the Heidenheim (district) which is in a different German state called Baden-Württemberg.
