Watercourse Rogue River, Oregon

Dillon Falls is a cool spot on the Rogue River in the state of Oregon. It is also known by other names like Nugget Falls, Hatrue Falls, or Tolo Falls. Instead of one big drop, Dillon Falls is a series of exciting rapids. These rapids are found north of the town of Gold Hill. They are part of the beautiful Rogue River–Siskiyou National Forest.

Where are Dillon Falls Located?

Dillon Falls is not far from Grants Pass. You can find it easily if you are traveling along Interstate 5. The Rogue River gets narrower here. This makes the water speed up before it drops about 10 feet. After this drop, the water calms down into a quiet pool.

What are Class IV Rapids?

The rapids at Dillon Falls are called Class IV rapids. This means they are quite challenging. They are best for experienced rafters and kayakers. These rapids have strong currents and big waves. Just a short distance away, you can find more whitewater waves. Another rapid waterfall, Ti'lomikh Falls, is also nearby.
