Dina Neal, born in 1972, is an American politician. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Since November 4, 2020, she has served in the Nevada Senate. She represents District 4. Neal is also part of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.
Dina Neal's Education
Dina Neal went to Southern University and A&M College. There, she earned a degree in political science. She then studied law at its Southern University Law Center. She earned her law degree, called a JD, from there.
How Dina Neal Was Elected
- 2010: A politician named Morse Arberry could no longer run for his seat. This is called being term limited. It meant the District 7 seat was open. Dina Neal decided to run for it. She won the first round of voting, called the Democratic Primary. Then, she won the main election on November 2, 2010. She won against Geraldine Lewis.
- 2012: Dina Neal ran for re-election in 2012. She won the Democratic Primary again. Then, she won the General election on November 6, 2012. She won against Brent Leavitt.
- 2020: On November 3, 2020, Dina Neal was elected to the Nevada Senate. She now represents the 4th district.
