Djabugay (also called Djabuganjdji) is an Aboriginal language from Australia. It is spoken by the Djabugay people. In 2021, about 81 people spoke Djabugay.

This language comes from Far North Queensland. You can find it around the Kuranda Range and the Barron River. This area is also part of the Cairns Regional Council.

What Kind of Language is Djabugay?

Djabugay is part of a larger group of languages. This group is called Pama–Nyungan. It is also placed within the Paman languages family. Think of it like how English is part of the Germanic language family.
