Doctor Arroyo Municipality is a special area in the northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo León. It's like a big county or district. This municipality covers a large area of about 5,106.2 square kilometers.
The area was named to honor a person called José Francisco Arroyo de Anda. The name was officially changed on September 22, 1826. According to the 2010 census, about 9,339 people lived in Doctor Arroyo Municipality.
Geography
Doctor Arroyo Municipality is located in the Sierra Madre Oriental, which is a large mountain range. It shares its borders with several other places.
