In 2020, about 89 people lived in Dodge. This number was 115 in 2010 and 96 in 2000.

Dodge had its own post office for many years. It opened on November 20, 1901. The post office closed on August 15, 1941. The community was started on a place called Cowskin Prairie. It was also located along the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway. This railway was important for travel and trade back then.

Dodge is in the northeastern part of Delaware County, Oklahoma. Its eastern side borders the state of Missouri. It is about 6 miles (10 km) east of the city of Grove.
