Dog Island is a small piece of land surrounded by water, located in First Lake. This lake is found in Herkimer County, New York, which is a county in the state of New York, USA.
Dog Island is situated to the east of a town called Old Forge. Another island, known as DeCamps Island, is located northeast of Dog Island. The highest point on Dog Island is about 1,706 feet (520 meters) above sea level.
