Domen Prevc (born 4 June 1999) is a talented ski jumper from Slovenia. He is known for his exciting and powerful jumps in competitions around the world.

Domen Prevc's Ski Jumping Journey

Domen Prevc started his professional ski jumping career in 2015. He quickly showed he was a rising star in the sport.

Starting Strong: World Cup Debut

Domen made his first big appearance in the World Cup on 22 November 2015. He jumped really well, finishing in eighth place in Klingenthal. It didn't take him long to reach the podium. Just four competitions later, on 19 December 2015, he earned second place in Engelberg. This was a special moment because his older brother, Peter Prevc, also finished on the podium. They were the first brothers ever to share a World Cup podium!

First Wins and Leading the Pack

The 2016–17 season was a huge year for Domen. On 25 November 2016, he won his very first World Cup event in Kuusamo/Ruka. This win meant he got to wear the "yellow bib" for the first time. The yellow bib shows that you are the overall leader in the World Cup standings. He continued his amazing streak, winning three more events in December in Klingenthal, Lillehammer, and Engelberg.

Trying Out Ski Flying

In 2017, Domen tried ski flying for the first time. Ski flying is like ski jumping, but on much bigger hills. This allows jumpers to fly much longer distances. On 3 February 2017, he competed in an event in Oberstdorf. Later that year, on 19 March 2017, he set a new personal best jump of 243.5 metres (about 798 feet) in Vikersund. That's almost as long as two and a half football fields!

About Domen's Family

Domen Prevc was born in Kranj, Slovenia. His family lives in a village called Dolenja Vas. He comes from a very talented family of ski jumpers! Both of his older brothers, Peter Prevc and Cene Prevc, are also famous ski jumpers. His younger sister, Nika Prevc, is also a successful ski jumper. Their father, Božidar, owns a furniture business and is also a referee for international ski jumping competitions.
