Dominik Paris (born on April 14, 1989) is an Italian alpine ski racer. He is known for his speed in events like super-G and downhill. Dominik became a world champion in super-G in 2019. He won the gold medal at Åre, Sweden.

Ski Racing Career Highlights

Dominik Paris started his World Cup career in December 2008. He won his first World Cup race in December 2012 in Italy. It was a downhill race in Bormio where he tied for first place with Hannes Reichelt. This race was very close, with the top four skiers finishing within 0.02 seconds of each other. It was the closest top-four finish in World Cup downhill history.

Just four weeks later, Dominik showed he was a top downhill racer. He won a race at Kitzbühel on the famous Streif course. At the 2013 World Championships in Austria, Dominik won a silver medal in the downhill event. He finished behind Aksel Lund Svindal.

Dominik got his first super-G win at Kitzbühel in 2015. He also placed second in the downhill race the next day. In 2017, he won his second downhill race on the Streif course. By 2019, he had won his third downhill race at Kitzbühel. This achievement tied him with other great skiers for the third-most downhill wins at Kitzbühel.

During the 2019 season, Dominik had many victories. He won twice in Bormio and twice in Kvitfjell. He also won two races at the World Cup finals in Soldeu. There, he won his first "crystal globe" in the super-G event. A crystal globe is a trophy given to the skier who wins the overall title in a specific discipline for the season. A month before, he had won the gold medal in super-G at the World Championships in Åre, Sweden.

Dominik began the 2019–2020 season with two second-place finishes in Canada. In December 2019, he won two downhill races in a row in Bormio. This made him the first skier to win five downhill races on the Stelvio course. In January 2020, he had an injury to his right knee during training. This injury, called an ACL injury, ended his season early.

By March 2025, Dominik Paris had achieved 24 World Cup wins. He also had 50 podium finishes in total.
