Dominique Dafney (born June 3, 1997) is an American football player. He plays as a tight end for the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers are part of the National Football League (NFL). Dominique played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Indiana State Sycamores. He started his professional career in 2020.

College Football Journey
Dominique Dafney began his college football career at Iowa Western Community College. He played there for one season. After that, he moved to the University of Iowa. At Iowa, he played for two seasons. He was mostly on the special teams, which are groups of players used for specific plays like kickoffs.
After his junior year, he transferred to Indiana State University. He played one season with the Sycamores. It was a very successful year for him! He ran for 439 yards. He also caught 15 passes for 196 yards. He scored seven touchdowns in total. Because of his great performance, he was named second-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference as a fullback.

Indianapolis Colts (First Time)
The Indianapolis Colts signed Dominique in August 2020. He joined them after the NFL draft. However, he was later released by the Colts in September 2020.
Green Bay Packers
On October 12, 2020, the Green Bay Packers signed Dominique. He joined their practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster.
Dominique was moved to the main roster in December 2020. This meant he could play in actual games. On December 27, he made his first NFL catch. It was a 13-yard pass from star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. This happened during a game against the Tennessee Titans.
Just a week later, on January 3, 2021, Dominique scored his first NFL touchdown! This was during a game against the Chicago Bears.
