Donald Edward Reynolds (born April 16, 1953) is a former American professional baseball player. He played as an outfielder for the San Diego Padres in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played for two seasons, from 1978 to 1979. Don's younger brother, Harold Reynolds, also played in Major League Baseball.

Early Life and High School Sports
Don Reynolds was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He grew up in Corvallis, Oregon. Don went to Corvallis High School. He was a star athlete there. He played football, basketball, and baseball. In 1970, he was part of the football team that won the 3A State Championship. He finished high school in 1971.
College: A Legend at Oregon
After high school, Don went to the University of Oregon. He planned to play only baseball. Many coaches thought he was too small for college football. But Oregon's football coach, Jerry Frei, convinced him to try. Don joined the freshman football team in 1971. He quickly became a standout player.
Don became one of the best two-sport athletes in the country. In football, he led Oregon in rushing for three years. He gained over 1,000 yards in one season. This was a rare achievement at the time. In baseball, he was a three-year starter. He set seven career records for the team. These included hits, runs batted in, and stolen bases. He had a batting average of .315 during his college career. In 1993, Don was honored for his football skills. He was inducted into the University of Oregon Athletics Hall of Fame.
Playing in the Major Leagues
The San Diego Padres drafted Don Reynolds in 1975. He was picked in the 18th round of the amateur draft. Don spent several seasons playing in the minor leagues. These are teams that help players get ready for the big leagues.
