Donavon Hawk is a politician and activist from the United States. He works as a member of the Montana House of Representatives for the 76th district. He was chosen by voters in November 2020. He started his job on January 4, 2021.
Donavon Hawk studied fashion design for two years. He went to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Later, he earned special certificates. These were in surgical technology and safety at work. He got them from Montana Technological University.
After managing stores in Washington, D.C., Hawk came back home. He returned to Butte, Montana. There, he started working in local politics and helping his community. He worked with the Democratic Party in Silver Bow County, Montana. He is now the treasurer for the Montana Democratic Party. This means he manages their money.
Since August 2018, he has also worked for the Butte Family YMCA. He helps with their marketing and public relations. Voters chose Hawk for the Montana House of Representatives in November 2020. He began his term on January 4, 2021. During the 2021 legislative session, Hawk was part of several important committees. These included the House Judiciary, Education, Local Government, and Legislative Administration Committees.

Donavon Hawk has heritage from both the Crow and Lakota peoples. He is a member of the legislature’s Indigenous Caucus. This group works on issues important to Native American communities.
