Quence Donell Taylor II, born on July 26, 1982, is an American who used to play professional basketball. He is 6 feet 6 inches (198 cm) tall. Donell mostly played as a shooting guard, but he could also play as a point guard or a swingman. He had a long career playing for many teams around the world.

Early Life and College Basketball
Donell Taylor grew up in Montgomery, Alabama. He played high school basketball at Sidney Lanier High School. In 2001, he helped his team win the 6A State Championship. His identical twin brother, Ronell, also played on the team.
After high school, Donell went to Okaloosa-Walton Community College (now called Northwest Florida State College). He played college basketball there from 2001 to 2003. Then, he moved to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He joined the UAB Blazers team. Donell and his twin brother Ronell played together at both colleges.
Donell Taylor's Professional Career
Donell Taylor played professional basketball for many years. He started in the NBA in the United States. Then, he played for teams in different countries like Greece, Belgium, Italy, and Israel.
Playing for the Washington Wizards (2005–2007)
After the 2005 NBA draft, Donell Taylor signed with the NBA team, the Washington Wizards. He joined them in August 2005. He played for the Wizards for two seasons, from 2005 to 2007.
During his time with the Wizards, Donell played in 98 NBA games. He started one game in each season. In his first year, he played about 9.1 minutes per game. He scored 2.7 points and got 0.9 rebounds per game. In his second season (2006-2007), he played about 7.9 minutes per game. He scored 2.7 points and got 1.0 rebounds per game. The Wizards decided to let Donell go in October 2007, before the new season started.
Playing in Europe (2007–2009)

Maroussi and Telindus Oostende (2007–2008)

Donell tried to return to the NBA in 2008. He played in the preseason with the Charlotte Bobcats. However, he was released from the team before the regular season began.

NBA Development League (2009–2010)
Donell played in the NBA Development League (now called the G-League). This league helps players get ready for the NBA.
He started the 2009-2010 season with the Erie BayHawks. On December 31, 2009, he was traded to the Idaho Stampede. On August 10, 2010, Donell signed with Fastweb Casale Monferrato. This team played in the Italian second-tier league, called Legadue Basket. In the 2010–11 season, Donell averaged 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. His team, Casale, won the Legadue championship that season.
Trenkwalder Reggio Emilia (2011–2013)
On August 1, 2011, Donell signed with Pallacanestro Reggiana. This team also played in the Italian 2nd Division. In his first season with them, Donell played 28 games. He averaged 17.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
After winning the 2012 Legadue championship, his team moved up to Lega Basket Serie A. This is the top basketball league in Italy. In his second season with Reggio Emilia, Donell played in the top league. He averaged 18.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

Return to Reggio Emilia (2014)

Later Career (2014–2017)
After his second time with Reggio Emilia, Donell continued to play basketball for a few more years. He played for Maccabi Ashdod B.C. in Israel during the 2014-2015 season. Then, he played for PBC Lukoil Academic in Bulgaria in 2015-2016. His last team was Agropoli in Italy, where he played from 2016 to 2017. Donell Taylor retired from professional basketball in 2017.
