Dorian Gregory (born January 26, 1971) is an American actor and TV host. He is best known for playing the police inspector Darryl Morris on the popular TV show Charmed. He was also the final host of the famous music show Soul Train.

Early Life and First Roles
Dorian Gregory was born in Washington, D.C.. When he was nine, his family moved from Cleveland, Ohio, to Los Angeles, California. This move brought him closer to the world of acting.
He started his career with small parts in popular TV shows. You might have seen him in episodes of Baywatch, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Sister, Sister. His first big role was on the show Baywatch Nights, where he was a main character from 1996 to 1997.

Starring in 'Charmed'
In 1998, Gregory landed his most famous role as Inspector Darryl Morris in the TV series Charmed. He was a part of the show for seven seasons, until 2005.
At first, his character was suspicious of the magical Halliwell sisters. But by the second season, he became their trusted friend. He often used his position as a police officer to help them cover up strange events and keep their magical secret safe.
Hosting and Other Work
Besides acting, Gregory has also been a TV host. In 2002, he joined the daytime talk show The Other Half. From 2003 to 2006, he took over as the host of Soul Train, a legendary show that celebrated music and dance.
He is also a founding member of the Epiphany Theater Group, which was started by the famous director Bill Duke. This shows his dedication to supporting other artists and creators.
Personal Life and Charity Work
When he was a child, Dorian Gregory was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, also known as juvenile diabetes. Today, he uses his fame to help others with the same condition. He is the National Spokesman for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He travels as a motivational speaker, talking to kids and young adults about living with diabetes and raising money to find a cure.
Gregory is also involved with other important causes. He supports the Los Angeles Police Department's Jeopardy Program, which helps at-risk youth. He also works with groups like AIDS Project Los Angeles and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
Music and Writing
Gregory is a man of many talents. He has a music group with his sister, Mercedes Bey, called "MD Says." He also writes poetry, plays, and movie scripts.
