Dorne Allen Dibble (born April 16, 1929 – died March 1, 2018) was an amazing American football player. He played as a wide receiver for the Detroit Lions team. Dorne Dibble was a key player for the Lions from 1951 to 1957, helping them win two big championships.

Dorne Dibble's Early Football Days

Dorne Dibble went to Michigan State. He was a star player there. In his last year of college, he was named an All-America player. This means he was one of the best college players in the country. Back then, he played as a defensive end. This position helps stop the other team from scoring.

Joining the Detroit Lions

In 1951, the Detroit Lions picked Dorne Dibble in the NFL draft. This is when professional teams choose new players from college. He was the 33rd player chosen overall.
