Drift Falls is a beautiful waterfall in Transylvania County, North Carolina. It's also known by fun nicknames like Bust-Yer-Butt Falls and Driftwood Falls. This amazing waterfall is found on private land.

Drift Falls is located on the Horsepasture River, deep within the Jocassee Gorge. Imagine a giant natural slide! This waterfall is an 80-foot (about 24-meter) long slide over smooth rock, ending in a deep pool of water.

It's part of a series of waterfalls along the Horsepasture River. Over a 2.5-mile (4-kilometer) stretch, the river drops an amazing 1,200 feet (366 meters)!

In the past, many people loved to visit Drift Falls. They would gather there to swim in the cool, deep pool. Some adventurous visitors even used the falls as a natural waterslide. This is how it earned its famous nickname, "Bust-Yer-Butt Falls," because it was quite a thrilling ride!
