Dublin is a small town in Pulaski County, Virginia, in the United States. In 2020, about 2,682 people lived there. It is part of a larger area that includes the cities of Blacksburg and Christiansburg.
The town got its name from Dublin in Ireland. A local story says it was named after the New Dublin Presbyterian Church, which was also named after the city in Ireland. Dublin is home to a large truck factory and a candle factory. It also has a regional jail that serves several nearby counties and the City of Radford.
History

Geography
Dublin is located at 37°6′11″N 80°41′5″W / 37.10306°N 80.68472°W. This means it's in the southwestern part of Virginia.
The town covers a total area of about 1.4 square miles (3.7 square kilometers). Almost all of this area is land.
Economy
One of the biggest employers in Dublin is the Volvo Trucks North America plant. It's the largest Volvo truck factory in the entire world! This factory is just outside Dublin and employs nearly 3,000 people. They build many different kinds of heavy-duty trucks there. In 2021, the plant even started making electric trucks.
Another important business in Dublin is the KORONA Candles Inc. factory.
