Fun Places to Visit
Near Duffield, you can find the gravesite of Ross Carter. He was a paratrooper during World War II. He wrote a famous story called Those Devils in Baggy Pants. It was about the 82nd Airborne during the war.
The town is also close to the Jefferson National Forest. This is a large forest where you can explore nature. About two miles west of Duffield is Natural Tunnel State Park. Many people call Natural Tunnel the "Eighth Wonder of the World." It has been a popular place for visitors for over 100 years.
