The Duke of Uceda (in Spanish, Duque de Uceda) is a special title in Spain. It's a very important title, and the person holding it is also a Grandee, which means they are part of a very high rank of nobles.
This title was created on May 16, 1610, by King Philip III. The first person to be given this honor was Cristóbal Gómez de Sandoval. He took over from his father, Francisco Gómez de Sandoval, as the king's main advisor and friend.
The name of the title comes from the town of Uceda in Guadalajara. Cristóbal Gómez de Sandoval owned land in this area.
