The Duloe stone circle is an ancient monument located near the village of Duloe. This special place is about 5 kilometers (3 miles) from Looe in the beautiful area of southeast Cornwall, England, UK. It's a fascinating site that tells us about people who lived long, long ago.

What is the Duloe Stone Circle?
This stone circle is made up of eight large, bright white stones. These stones are made of a material called quartzite. They are arranged in an oval shape, not a perfect circle.
How Big Are the Stones?
The stones are all different heights. The tallest stone is on the south side of the circle. It stands over 2.65 meters (8.7 feet) tall and weighs more than 12 tons! That's super heavy, like two big elephants. The whole circle measures about 11.9 meters (39 feet) from north to south and 10.7 meters (35 feet) from east to west.
What Happened to the Circle?
We don't know the exact original size of the circle. In 1861, some of the stones were moved because a hedge was growing through the middle of the circle. During this move, two of the large stones broke. It was also said that an old pot, called a Bronze Age urn, was found under one of the stones. This urn was full of bones, but it crumbled away when it was found.
How Can You Visit Duloe Stone Circle?
You can find the Duloe stone circle near Duloe village. It's located just off the B3254 road. Look for a sign on the west side of the road in a field. It's a great spot to imagine what life was like thousands of years ago!

The Duloe stone circle actually inspired a video game! It was the setting for the 2006 video game called Barrow Hill.
