Dundee Mountain: A Local Landmark
Just northeast of Dundee, you'll find a special local landmark called Dundee Mountain. It's a notable spot in the area.
Dundee is also quite famous for something unusual: many people have reported seeing UFOs there! These are unexplained flying objects. Because of these sightings, residents hold a fun festival each year. It's called "UFO Daze." People gather to celebrate the mystery and excitement of these reported sightings.
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Visits Dundee
In the fall of 2006, a popular TV show came to Dundee. The show was called Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. This program helps families by building them a brand new home. They do this in just one week!
The show visited Dundee to build a house for the Koepke family. A family member, Matt Koepke, was dealing with a serious illness. The team built a beautiful new home for the five remaining members of the family. They also helped improve the nearby Dundee Mill Park. - W. J. Gilboy was also born near Dundee, on a farm. He was a teacher and a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. He was also part of the Socialist movement. Socialists believe in certain ideas about how society and the economy should be organized.
