Dutton is a ghost town located in Elko County, in the U.S. state of Nevada. A ghost town is a place where most people have left, leaving behind empty buildings.
History of Dutton
Dutton once had a post office. It opened in 1907. This was an important service for the people living there.
However, the post office did not stay open for long. It closed down in 1913. The town of Dutton slowly faded away. This happened because a nearby town, Midas, started to grow. People moved to Midas instead.
