Dylan Marie Dreyer, born on August 2, 1981, is an American television meteorologist. She works for NBC News. Dylan is known for her weather reports and for being an anchor on Today's 3rd Hour. She often appears on the Today show during weekdays. She also fills in for other hosts like Al Roker and Carson Daly. You might also see her on The Weather Channel and NBC Nightly News. Dylan joined NBC News in September 2012. Before that, she worked at the NBC station WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts, starting in 2007.
Early Life and School
Dylan Dreyer grew up in Manalapan Township, New Jersey. She went to Manalapan High School. While there, she played softball. She finished high school in 1999. In 2003, she earned a college degree in meteorology from Rutgers University. Meteorology is the study of weather. During her college years, Dylan worked for a short time at WeatherWorks. This was a weather consulting company in Hackettstown, New Jersey.

Dylan Dreyer has worked at several TV stations. These include WICU-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania, and WJAR in Providence, Rhode Island. She also worked at WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts.
On February 9, 2013, Dylan was in a car accident. She was on her way to report on a blizzard for the Today show. She got a mild concussion from the crash.
Besides her work as a meteorologist, Dylan also hosts a TV show. It is an educational nature program called Earth Odyssey with Dylan Dreyer. This show is part of The More You Know programming block on NBC.
Dylan Dreyer has reported on big events. She covered the 2017 Kentucky Derby horse race. She also reported from the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. In 2022, she hosted the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time. She filled in for Al Roker, who was recovering from health issues.
Personal Life
Dylan Dreyer married Brian Fichera in 2012. Brian is a producer and cameraman for NBC News. They live in the New York area. Dylan and Brian have three children together. In July 2025, Dylan shared that she and Brian had separated a few months earlier. She said they would continue to raise their children together with respect and friendship.
