Dylan Marie Dreyer, born on August 2, 1981, is an American TV meteorologist. She works for NBC News, where she helps tell people about the weather. You might see her on the Today show, especially on weekday mornings. She sometimes fills in for other hosts like Al Roker and Carson Daly. Dylan also appears on The Weather Channel and NBC Nightly News. She joined NBC News in 2012, after working at a TV station in Boston, Massachusetts.
Early Life and Learning
Dylan Dreyer grew up in Manalapan Township, New Jersey. She went to Manalapan High School and finished in 1999. While there, she enjoyed playing softball.
After high school, she studied at Rutgers University. In 2003, she earned a special degree in meteorology. This means she learned all about weather and how to predict it. While in college, she also worked for a short time at a weather company called WeatherWorks.
Dylan's Career Journey
Dylan Dreyer has worked at several TV stations. She started her career at WICU-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania. Later, she worked at WJAR in Providence, Rhode Island. Before joining NBC News, she was at WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts.
In 2013, Dylan was in a car accident. She was on her way to report on a big snowstorm for the Today show. Luckily, she only had a mild concussion and recovered well.
Besides her weather duties, Dylan also hosts a nature show. It's called Earth Odyssey with Dylan Dreyer. This show teaches kids about nature and animals. You can watch it on NBC's "The More You Know" block of educational programs.
Dylan has also reported from exciting events. She covered the famous 2017 Kentucky Derby horse race. She also reported from the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. In 2022, she hosted the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time. She stepped in for Al Roker, who was recovering from an illness.

Dylan Dreyer is married to Brian Fichera. He is a producer and cameraman for NBC News. They got married in 2012. Dylan and Brian live in the New York area. They have three children together.
