Eedara Veera Venkata Satyanarayana (born June 10, 1956 – died January 21, 2011) was a famous Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer. He made 51 films in Telugu films, which is a lot! He helped many new actors start their careers in Telugu cinema. E. V. V. Satyanarayana was especially known for making funny movies (comedies) and emotional family films. In 2000, he started his own movie company called E. V. V. Cinema. He passed away in 2011.

His Early Life
E. V. V. Satyanarayana was born on June 10, 1956. His hometown was Korumamidi village in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. His parents were Venkat Rao and Venkata Ratnam.
Becoming a Filmmaker
When E. V. V. Satyanarayana first started in the film industry, he faced many challenges. But he loved movies and was very determined to succeed. His hard work caught the eye of a producer named Navatha Krishnam Raju. With his help, E. V. V. became an assistant director for a film called O inti Bhagavatam.
Later, he worked with a well-known director named Jandhyala for about eight years. During this time, he helped make 22 films, including popular ones like Nalugu Stambhalata (1982) and Aha Naa Pellanta (1987). He also worked as a co-director for the movie Indrudu Chandrudu.
Directing His Own Movies
E. V. V. Satyanarayana's first movie as a director was Chevilo Puvvu. Sadly, it didn't do well. He felt very sad and even thought about leaving the film industry. But then, a producer named D. Ramanaidu gave him another chance to direct Prema Khaidi. This movie was a big success!
After that, E. V. V. followed in his teacher Jandhyala's footsteps and made many successful comedy films. Some of his famous comedies include Appula Appa Rao, Aa Okkati Adakku, and Jamba Lakidi Pamba.
He also directed heartwarming family movies. A super hit film he directed in 1994 was Aame, which starred Srikanth and Ooha. Other popular movies he directed were Hello Brother, Alluda Majaka, and Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu. He even directed a Hindi movie called Sooryavansham, which starred the famous actor Amitabh Bachchan.
E. V. V. Satyanarayana also made movies that were praised by critics, like Thaali and Ammo! Okato Tareekhu.
Awards and Recognition
In 1994, E. V. V. Satyanarayana received a Nandi Award for his film Aame. This award is a big honor in the Telugu film industry.
His Passing
E. V. V. Satyanarayana passed away on January 21, 2011. He had been dealing with health issues related to throat cancer.
