Eagle Hill is a cool spot in Sabine Parish, Louisiana, and it's known as one of the highest places in the entire state of Louisiana! It's not a huge mountain like you might see out west, but it's an important landmark in its area. Its name in French is Colline d'Aigle, which means "Hill of the Eagle."

Where is Eagle Hill Located?

Eagle Hill is found in Sabine Parish, Louisiana. If you were to look on a map, it's about 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) south of a town called Peason, Louisiana. It's also around 4 miles (6.4 kilometers) west of the beautiful Kisatchie National Forest, a large forest area in Louisiana.

Part of a Larger Mountain Range

Even though Eagle Hill is in Louisiana, it's actually part of the smaller hills that lead up to the much larger Ouachita Mountains. These mountains are mostly found in the state of Arkansas, but their foothills stretch down into Louisiana, including places like Eagle Hill.
