Discovering Old Airplanes
The museum is home to about 35 amazing vintage aircraft, which are old planes, built between 1913 and 1944. Imagine seeing planes that are over 100 years old! Besides the planes, you can also find hundreds of other items from that time, like old photos, powerful engines, and parts of aircraft. Exploring the Hangars
The Eagles Mere Air Museum is spread out across several buildings, called hangars. Each hangar holds different parts of the collection, making your visit an exciting journey of discovery.
- Alpha Hangar: This is the biggest hangar and usually has about 12 aircraft on display. It's also where you'll find the museum's entrance and gift shop, so you can pick up a souvenir!
- Bravo Hangar: Here, you can see five more aircraft. This hangar also shows videos about how the museum and airport were built, and what they were like in their early years.
- Charlie Hangar: This hangar features four additional aircraft for you to explore.
- Delta Hangar: You'll find another four aircraft on display in this hangar.
- Echo Hangar: This hangar holds three more fascinating aircraft, completing your tour of the museum's collection.
