Eagletown is a small, unincorporated community located in Hamilton County, Indiana. An unincorporated community is a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. It's part of Washington Township.
History of Eagletown
Eagletown was first planned out in 1848. It got its name from a nearby stream called the Little Eagle Creek. A post office opened in Eagletown in 1849. This was a place where people could send and receive mail. The post office served the community for many years. However, it closed down in 1925.

People from Eagletown
- Nels Ackerson was born in Eagletown. He is a lawyer. He also ran for a position in the United States Congress. In 2006, he and his sister, Karen Ackerson Jamesen, shared plans for a new community. They wanted to build houses, townhouses, and apartments. They also planned for shops and offices. This new area would be built on their family's old farm. It was designed to look like a community from the 1900s.
- Musician Josh "The Reverend" Peyton was also born in Eagletown.
Geography of Eagletown
Eagletown is located on Indiana State Road 32. It is just east of Jolietville. The community is also roughly between two small airports. These are the Indianapolis Executive Airport and the Westfield Airport.
